Eastern Redbud Plant. It does not usually grow on flooded sites because it cannot endure inundation or survive in poorly aerated. The plant can also be grown as a standard tree.

This tree is popular in the landscape and can stand alone as a specimen plant or in mass plantings, such as along the edge of wooded areas. The redbud blooms a beautiful, prolific display of pink flowers in early spring that lasts about a month and feeds numerous pollinators. The twigs of eastern redbud can be boiled to produce a yellow dye.
